      Hi

May i chk if west spring school provide enrichment /remedial class for their pupils?
Im just worried abt this play base method is it all the way to pri 6? Will the child able to cope with psle when all their peers frm other schools have been toiling and trained with worksheets? How do WSP prepare kids for psle?
      Hi Zahra,
I am a parent of a West Springer. I can understand your concerns about PSLE. I think this is a concern that every parent in every school has. Don't worry, your child will be in good hands at West Spring. The play-based learning is only one part of the school curriculum. The idea is for students to enjoy learning and not to fear exams. The school will prepare all students for the PSLE exams when the time comes. You may wish to take a look at the school website and read the section under Philosophy and Learning Approach. This will give you more information on the play-based learning that the school has become famous for. There are remedial classes for students who need that extra help. Please do check out the website for more information on the school and I'm sure you will be impressed.

You may wish to contact the school directly if you wish to have the school reply to you on any specific concerns:

      Hi West Spring PS,

I just went over to registered my child there. Im concern about the canteen as I observed there are only a few stalls that are open (around 4- correct me if I'm wrong). Will there be more stalls open up?
      Hi berrypie,
I am a parent of a West Springer.
The school currently has 4 vendors
      β€’Chinese Stall
      β€’Drink Stall (Halal)
      β€’Malay Stall (Halal)
      β€’Western Stall

The current number of stalls is more than enough for the number of students in the School at the moment. I am sure in time there would be more stalls opening.

You have made the right choice in choosing West Spring for your child's education πŸ˜„

If you do have any further questions that you would like a reply from the school, you may email them at Email: [email protected]

    • RE: [Bukit Panjang] Primary Schools

West Spring Primary has been in operation since 2014. It may well be the new kid on the block, but it has proven to be a popular choice for residents living in Bukit Panjang and beyond.

The school opens its door for parents to attend and to join their children for many school events and activities. I am impressed on the communication between the school and parents. They respond promptly to emails and even have their own parents forum where parents can ask questions and give suggestions. The school encourages parents to use this social media platform to engage with the school in discussions. There have even been breakfast and lunch chat sessions with the Principal held regularly in the school.

The teachers are experienced and professional. They have gone above and beyond their duty to help students. They are a credit to the education field and each teacher is quick to reply to any concerns parents may have.

The School has a rigorous and engaging program that will prepare children for PSLE. They do this by laying a strong foundation in literacy and numeracy. The school curriculum includes play based learning activities which the students enjoy participating in. My son comes home every day with a smile and happy to tell me the fun and interesting day he had at school. He is doing really well with his subjects with the help of a dedicated team of passionate teachers.

The school may be new, but it has a made a great start and has a wonderful future ahead of it.

      Hi All,

I heard that swimming will be introduced in the physical education class next year at P3. This is wonderful news. Let’s wait for the school to give us more information on the details nearer to the time.

      Hi All,

My child told me that this morning the Principal announced to the students that 75% of parents have successfully logged onto MC ONLINE. This is wonderful.

The response from the school has been fast. They seem to reply within 3 days of any entry from parents. One parent on mc online suggested to have different categories for parents to chat and to put up comments. The school did that, but only the category PARENT’S FORUM is being used by parents. It seems active and parents have been posting questions and suggestions on it. The school is really trying to engage parents.

Please do remember to log onto the MC ONLINE and type in the following: LOGIN ID P_CHILDS BIRTH CERT NUMBER. The password has been given out to parents and is on the school website explanation on how to use MCONLINE.

      Hi

I am able to login, just not sure where to go to the forum with discussions.
When I try ==>collarboration==> forum, there is no discussion inside.

I am also unable to find where to register for particpating in the school activities, like tomorrow's cny celebrations?
Is this registration under the collarboration or under school matters? I tried both but still cannot find anywhere to do the registrations.
      Hi bear_long38,
the first screen page will show a few different topics including PARENTS FORUM. Once you enter the parents forum, you will see the thread for the ongoing discussion. I believe the registration has already closed for tomorrow's event, which is why there isn't a topic under CNY highlighted.

My only advice would be to telephone the school to see if they are able to register you for tomorrow's event.

      Enjoy the CNY break πŸ˜„

      Hi

I am having problem with Mconline. When I login, I don't see any discussion in the forum.

The school wanted us to register our participation via MC online but I am unable to find where to do the registration.

      Anyone here can help?
      Hi bear_long38,
I have just checked and it seems ok. The parents forum is on mconline under the parents login. Due to security and safety reasons, I am unable to share the password with you online. The details should be on the school website or you may call the school and ask them for the password.

LOGIN ID: P_CHILD'S BIRTH CERTIFICATE NUMBER

I'm within 2km, so the chances still high?

      Hi genesis28,
it's great to know that you are interested in West Spring Primary.

It is difficult to answer your question. The school has now become the most popular choice for parents in Bukit Panjang. There are also new flats within the 1km area.

I really hope you are able to get a place for your child. We all look forward to welcoming you to the West Spring Family. πŸ˜„
