      Hi Guys,

      My son from Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Primary School got a score of 222 (Express).

      He got the following marks:
      Science => A
      Math => B
      English => A

      He is terrible in Chinese so he is thinking of taking another mother tongue like Japanese since he likes Anime a lot.

      He loves Science and Robotics though he also plays a bit of basketball. He knows how to play guitar.

      We are staying in Toa Payoh (Near Jackson Square).

      Based on the information above, could you suggest what secondary school should he take? We are thinking of using all the 6 options. KCPPS is also an affiliate of KCPSS (if that would help).

      Thank you and may all of us have a headache-free school selection. šŸ™‚ šŸ˜„

      Definitely Kcpss since affiliated.

      Thanks, but i also want to use up all the 6 options.

      will this be ok for my son?
      1. Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Secondary
      2. anderson sec(COP above 222)
      3. presbytarian high (COP above 222)
      4. pierce (COP is 212)
      5. amk sec (COP is 227, 5points above my son's TSCORE)
      6. guang yang (COP is 197; not sure if this school is good) šŸ˜ž

      Hi, what schools do you have in mind?
      May I know how do u feel abt kcpss?
      Am considering putting that as first choice though has seen some rowdy behavior at the bus stops near e sch.
      Also, the school does not have the academic value add award...

      Please share your thoughts, thanks!

      I cannot say anything on KCPSS but my son studied at it's Primary School and they are really trying to hone the student's character. KCPSS' academic achievements are in their link.
      http://www.kcpss.moe.edu.sg/achievements/academic.html

      Our initial list is this:
      1. KCPSS (top 52) (affiliation is not a guarantee for admission)
      2. HWA CHONG INSTITUTION (TSCORE=261); impossible to be admitted?
      3. ANDERSON SECONDARY (TSCORE=246); impossible to be admitted?
      4. ANG MO KIO SECONDARY (TSCORE=227); impossible to be admitted?
      5. PEIRCE SECONDARY (212)
      6. GUANG YANG (TSCORE=197, TOP 108 in the PSLE cutoff list)

      Thanks for your help.
