Hey yes I have been trading for some time. Us equities algo trading. Tried fx too but it was not profitable in the long run. My advice to those getting started is to really get your fundamentals centred on risk mgt. Just getting this right from the onset of ur journey will earn u the $ over time. Knowledge in system testing (to derive trading edge n backtest) is also impt. Start small, risk only a small % for each trade so u stay in the game long enough to see ur equity curve go up with time.

I think it also helps to be honest with our children that we, as parents, also have our shortfalls/weaknesses and are still learning values too. So they have the belief attaining good values is a lifelong process that all should strive for.
