So Maths AL2 + Eng AL6 + Sci AL6 + Chinese AL7 = total 21

NA could be better fit for him rather than Express. Not sure the reason why his English & Science couldnt score higher, but at least Sec 1-2 English, Literature, Geography & History will require good foundation in English language. Express stream for all these English-heavy subjects may be too fast-paced for him to cope?
yes you are right on the scoring and i am worried that he might have difficulty in understanding as there are more subjects coming up too... thank you so much for the great opinion!

Maybe check with Anderson Secondary whether he will get to do English Maths & Science at Express level?

I dont think the school is on the FSBB full subject based banding pilot program yet, but i recall almost every school already has SBB for 3 subjects English Maths & Science.
Anderson will be on Full SBB next year. It's likely he can only do Maths Express with his PSLE results as he got AL6 for both Eng and Science..

hihi need to get some opinion here... DS got AL21 and is fine with both Northbooks Express vs Anderson NA. His AL got pulled down badly for Chinese at AL7 while the rest is around the same as his peers who made it to Express.

Based on the 2 school, should I consider a better school environment (Anderson) but stayed in NA throughout the 5 years? I read up a little about NB where the reputation was a little worrying (not sure if situation has changed now). Hence a little worrying about NB Express though DS has frens getting AL18 and 20 choosing NB too. Please advise many thanks! šŸ™‚
