My BM went kuku yesterday…the BM450 just went into some kinda diagnostic mode, every button press will cycle thru different functions like activate kneader, lights, sound, dispenser…took me a few tries to turn on and off before it become normal. Anyone with same machine has same issue?

Yesterday I tried the Tang zhong recipe, it really turn out to be softer but crust remains hard.

I tried to select the light crust though.

Perhaps I have to accept the fact that a hard crust is unavoidable...
I normally just use BM for the dough programme. I tried the entire process last sun and my crust was ok, not hard. Mine is Kenwood.

its 汤种…bread flour + water at 1:5 ratio and mix at low heat to 65c. Added to your dough when mixing to create a soft and fluffy texture. It also helps bread to maintain the softness for longer.

Guys, just want to check anyone any idea where I can get a Loaf pan with cover? Preferably non-stick...

You mean Pullman loaf tin? You can get it at Phoon Huat (not sure if they have the non-stick ones, but definitely the stainless steel ones). The non-stick ones are available from Takashimaya, Robinsons, Tangs.

Thanks...got one from PH...but seems that its not baking as well as on open loaf pan...its not browning...wondering I may have to increase the temp...
