I have a baby boy born in year 2013 too, he's such a cutie and is learning so much now!!
I am an expat mom that lived in Singapore for many years and is a PR now.
I've enrolled him in a half day programme at Little Ones Kindergarten, near to holland village.
Even though the school fees is slightly higher there but I love it because of the spacious classrooms, hands on activities and also outdoor play spaces, also with low teacher: student ratio (2:10). Which means my child actually gets more attention and care from the teachers and They are a play based school but also do proper teaching in class. So we, as parents do not have to not to worry that he will be neglected. At the end of the semester, I also received my son's individualized portfolio whereby the teachers have come up with a check list of his developments and also photos attached to show the progress of my boy. It's rather nice because as parents, we are always concern about what our children learn in school.
Not to worry that children will 'play' in school! So far, their theme for this term is All Around the World, and my boy came back telling me all about Singapore, China, Australia. At the age of 3, he was able to name and identify the country's flags and some special landmarks in the different countries. Which to moms, that is very impressive!!!!
And Little Ones Kindergarten is always full house and have a waiting list currently. But they have opened another new outlet at Bukit Timah! For parents whom are looking into a school with a more play based but yet educational preschool for your kids, you should try visiting Little Ones Kindergarten!
Hope some parents will find this usefulCheers!
