Can anyone share the types of questions i should be asking. I went for DS current school cos nearby and reputation quite ok - then just floated along the years (I forget even when my kids have exams...now lower pri, I afford myself this privilege).

Suddenly got choice to make....a bit bamboozled. :imdrowning:

At the school booth, I asked about school hours. How many days do they have to stay back in school? Till what time? What are the CCAs? Is it compulsory?

I also asked a p4 prefect whether gep is stressful? Did she enjoy the programme? She's bubbly so I have a very good impression of her. She seems genuinely happy and not stressed up. So 加分 for that school



There are only 2 schools within reasonably travelling distance in our case.
So it's just a matter of deciding between these 2 schools.

And I brainstorm about bus route in case need to take bus home on certain days, which school has more convenient bus route?

We told her is does not matter if you are GEP or not.. Most important you are happy and not stress up, prepare well for P4 next year. No point you get in just becos you think is a waste to give up or want to make us happy... But end up you are not enjoying the process.

Whatever the decision is.. GEP or not have not to take the same national exam is PSLE, and no guarantee that GEP will sure go to top school.. May be some parent may not feel the same as me.. My elder son din go GEP also did very well in PSLE, his score is above 270. While my son friends.. Who is GEP score below 250.

Nothing is guarantee!! Most important confidence is one key to a child success.

WAH hamster you are really blessed to have such intelligent children Is it nature or nurture? Do you send them for enrichment classes from young?

Called my gal's school. Was told that the school received the results this morning but not sure if the kids can receive it or not today... faint. My gal has to stay back in school today so till now ... No News.

So the school already received this morning.......my son school gas yet to release the result.

Results is out. Boy did not get in and he was disappointing. We were very shocked by his disappointment as we did not train him, did not talk much about gep and thought hv mentally prepared him well ahead that being in the second round is already an achievement. Really unexpected that young kids hv set such high expectations for themselves. Told him top 10 percent is gd but he said he wanna be the one percent. Sigh.

So early? I thought result is out only 1st Nov?

Er... if you are referring to ACS (Independent), yes it is at Dover Road. ACS (Primary) is at Barker Road.ACS(I) is not a primary school. FYI.
