Good morning everyone. Today is the day. For schools who have yet to release their DSA results, they will do so today per MOE’s stipulated deadline. Results may not all be sent via e-mail or a phone call but could be snail mail too. Regardless, best wishes to all students (and parents) who are waiting anxiously. Thank you for updating. However I think leengor said DHS said they have mailed out outcomes on 9 Sep. Not via email n outcomes not received yet. In fact, when I called up, DHS said the mail may only reach applicants between 12-15 Sep.

What was last year 2021 P6 PSLE batch (born 2009) official Cut off point, for Dunman High ?

is it AL 8 (Distinction) ?

Since your kid's primary school exam score is AL 11,
that is,
3 points away from AL 8.
3 points is not far away.

Being an IP school,
Dunman High will still consider giving out CO. Yes, still got hope !
But,
if is 5 points or more away from the Cut off point, probably DHS may offer Wait-list, instead of offer CO.

No matter how strong, how good your child's talent is -

at the end of the day,
because

Dunman High happen to be an IP school, they will still look at your P5 / P6 school results, make sure that your kid can cope with IP rigor,
before start to offer any CO or Wait-list, to suitable candidates. That is, on condition that your child have the talent that DHS is really looking out for, first.

Actually, shouldn’t the assessment be more holistic at the final interview, rather than offer CO/WL based on p5/6 results? If results is indeed a key determinant, then isn’t it a waste of their time to conduct DSA auditions/interviews by filtering by results only at the final interview? They should have sieved out by results at the onset before talent trial.

You know of people who have received phone calls for CO? Or you have received phone calls?

I just called DHS. I was told there will not be phone calls. Letters (outcomes) will be received next week 12-15 Sep. That is to say, it may be past the 12 Sep timeline for notification of DSA outcomes.

eventually (finally),

only 3 candidates got short-listed, have a chance to attend
Round 2 interview, with
( P / VP + music maestro).

Thank you very much. I am referring to the Performing Arts like Choir and String Ensemble. Wondering how many will be shortlisted for round 2 interview out of that 20+ auditioned in round 1.

So given so few gets shortlisted for round 2, does it mean those shortlisted should more or less be a CO unless interview goes very wrong?

depend on which Secondary school, u refering to. Each school has its own unique way, of processing the entire DSA process. No standard answer.

But,
if you are refering to Raffles Girls Secondary school for Academic DSA domain (Mathematics), then

Round 1 : take the subject (Maths) qualifying test

Those who did not do well in the test, game over !

Those who passed the test, will be short-listed to attend
Round 2 interview, on another day.
This was a \"group\" interview, together with rest of other P6 applicants, for the same \"Maths\" domain.

This happened, 3 years ago.

Any idea generally how many of the DHS CCA audition students will get shortlisted for interview? Say from an audition group of 30, how many will be shortlisted for interview? 50%? 10 out of 30?
