      The Alternative Story:
      Pocoyobb:

      Hi TAS,

I am interested in sending my gal who will b in P1 next year to TAS parkway. I m interested in the following slots however here r the issues:
Friday\t7.30pm - 9.30pm (no teacher yet. When will the teacher b confirmed?)
Saturday\t5.50pm - 7.50pm (weird timing, can consider morning or late morning?)
As for the Sunday slot 9.30am - 11.30am, I heard that teacher Qiwei is a new teacher. Is it true?

      Thank you.

      Hi Pocoyobb,

Friday 7.30pm - We're revising the schedule and this class is still TBC as we do not have a teacher confirmed.

Saturday 5.50pm - This timing was considered as all the classrooms are currently full on Saturday morning/afternoon.

Sunday 9.30am - Teacher Qiwei has been with us over the past year assisting with classes and lessons. Before being allowed to take a class on their own, teachers are required to undergo training and pass strict tests. Even after they start taking a class, they will continue to be monitored and observed for quality purposes. You can rest assured that all our teachers are equipped to take their classes.

Do let us know if you have more queries!

      Thank you
      TAS

Hi, same here. Was initially looking at this Sunday am timeslot too. But not too comfortable with a new teacher. Would TAS consider getting a more experienced teacher for this timeslot since there are a number of interested parents?

      Hi parents

May I know if there’s any restrictions on the school shoes? Can I get those sports shoes which are fully white and with velcro?

      Thanks in advance!

      Hi mummyof2girls

You prob can fit in tropical fruit farm on day 7?
Can go carara in the am, after that fruit farm.

For carara, we spent only abt 2 hours there cos most are selling pretty much the same things.

For robina town, we also din spend much time cos the things aren’t exactly cheap.

Thursday is their shopping day. So most centres close only at 9 pm. So you can plan accordingly.

Right, for those going to currumbin, food fantasy, get the visitors brochures from the airport and you can get some good discounts in there. For e.g, for currumbin, adults pay child rate with the coupons.

      Hi

Yup, we stayed there throughout. We drove so it was very convenient.
I booked through hotel directly and negotiated with them and they gave me free wifi.

We are opposite hotel chancellor which a few members here have mentioned too. Think it is cheaper than hilton but the two bedded rooms are smaller. So depends on your budget and preference 🙂

      Hi micollh

Day 1: touched down, pacific fair
Day 2: paradise country and Harbour town
Day 3: catch a crab cruise and superbee honey
      Day 4: sea world
Day 5: movie world, spectacular outback
Day 6: currumbin wildlife and tropical fruit farm, robina town

I stayed at hilton surfer paradise and it was fantastic! Great sea view at 38th storey and the two bedded room was great and clean. Superb location too and 5 mins to beach. There’s also sushi, Chinese food, McDonalds, Coles supermarket, kfc, starbucks all within 5 mins walk. The shops are opened till 8-9 pm.

I took the helicopter ride at sea world. There’s a choice of 5, 10, 15, 20 and 30 mins ride. We took the 15 mins ride at $150 for adults and $100 for kid.

      Hi

Just back from my trip yesterday.
Yup, The custom officer did not check anything and just waved us through. 🙂
Yes, we bought milo and instant noodles at the supermarket.

The tropical fruit farm was fun, especially the animal feeding area and the tractor.

Great shopping at Harbour Town, especially Adidas and Nike with lots of discounts when we were there. Coach was selling all bags at $295 and Quiksilver was on 50% storewide. levi was $98 for any 2 pairs of jeans. We got the tourist card from the tourist centre and got more discounts. Robina town and pacific fair were so so only as the things are not cheap without discounts.

The currumbin in wildlife was quite a disappointment for us....few animals and the shows were not nice. Relatively, we tot Paradise Country was nicer ( thou they only had a few lazy kangaroos).

Compared to Movie world, we like sea world better and the helicopter ride was fantastic. My boy loved it:)

We rented car from apex and all was nice and smooth,

Anyway, Thanks all for the tips.
