i went to ask her again, and now she tells me her house is less than 2km. i think she herself is confused about the registration procedures and do not know what the hell is happening. duh... anyway, case closed.

Then my friend has been lying to me. I am very puzzled because I know that there isnt such an advantage as far as I know and the MOE would not allow such practice.

She is registering her child this yr and her home is more than 2km from NC. She said even if she did PV, it would be wasted as balloting was for 1-2km. Then she said she got in because her husband is in SHHK and all SHHK was considered between 1-2km. I smell dishonesty then.

I have a question. For Nan Chiau, if I am a SHHK member but I stay more than 2km away from the school, would I fall under the category of >2km? Cos I was told that all SHHK members will be considered as 1-2km, even if I stay >2km away.

Method 1
5/25 => 20% of getting in for local.

Method 2
10/20 probability of being \"force out\" => 50% of getting in for local.

Note that method 2 calculation is not accurate and as simple as it seem. because when a PR is drawn, his other lot will still be inside. So, even if his other lot is drawn again, it doesnt make any difference to the number of vacancies left but the chances of other parents being drawn will increase as the denominator will be smaller. I am too lazy to think too much into that far. haha...

Huh? I thought PR only get one ballot slip? So if his is drawn, there will not be another slip inside.
