Hi,
Anyone familiar with the grading of O level Higher Music? Do all pupils scoring A1 have their certIficates printed A1(with Distinction)? I am puzzled because I thought A1 is Distinction by default. Why do they need to print (with Distinction) next to the grade?

Higher music is graded separately. It is possible to get A1 for the music subject, but only obtain a merit for the higher music. The Higher music grade must be printed, such that it can be counted as a humanities subject in the L1R5 calculation for JC admissions.
