      Hi Goldeneye

So sorry to hear your unpleasant experience. Apparently, this year, something is not quite right too. Timetable was not provided till a week later. When my elder girl started P1 3 years ago, I don’t recall there is such thing happening.

      Goldeneye:
After a week (my son is in P1) I feel disappoint with the school administration, communication. Maybe I have high expectation!

      Hi Goldeneye
Give the school some time to settle down with the P1 children. I have a girl in P1 this year as well. Her co-form teacher and the Chinese teacher have been quite active in messaging us the study programme like what to bring to school and when will be the spelling, etc. However, if you have any further feedback, you may let the teachers know in the parent dialogue session for P1 which will be held on 24 Jan 14. Cheers 😄

Students are shortlisted and invited to join the E2K science programme based on the students’ performance in Science in Pri 3 Written Assessments as well as the student’s aptitude for the subject. This is an enrichment programme to cater to high-ability learners in Science. There are a total of 17 lessons spanning across the whole year and it is held on Wed after school for selected P4 students this year. The dates of the lesson will be provided to the students. You may go to MOE website to know more about this programme.

      Hi Imp,

I noted too that my girl’s report book don’t show the level highest or mean. I guess they don’t want the parents to be too "kiasu" and start comparing marks, hence bringing more stress to children.

Wow, so many children joining Chinese Dance, anyone whose child has join Chinese Orchestra?

By the way, the last school bus is at 3.30pm.

Do give your feedback to the school. I did so during the last 2wks before school starts as Chinese Orchestra training ends at 5pm on Fri. Being a FTWM, I do not have any other arrangement to pick my child up except to take leave. Luckily, the school took in parents’ feedback and changed the practice time to 3.30pm on Fri, in time for the students to board the last school bus. However, should there be upcoming performance, students are still expected to stay till 5pm for the extra practice.

That's life in CFS. Other schools do not have exams in P1 and P2 and they grade based on daily school work and continuous assessment. In CFS, there will be exams starting P1. I was originally shocked as well. But once I've got into momentum, everything is fine. Hence, initially you may need to spend some time to guide/coach your child with the homework. Once everything sets in, all will be fine. Don't worry too much and be positive 🙂

      Icymummy:
Apparently P3 Gracious is also using Onsponge!

Yes, Icymummy. So it doesn't mean that only the top 2 classes are using Onsponge.
