Hi, my son is born in 2007 and should be registering Primary 1 next year. The only school that is within my vicinity is Nanyang Primary, which is unfortunately the popular school in this territory. I have tried being a parent volunteer, but got rejected. Now my only chance of being in P2B is to be a Grassroot Leader, can anyone advise

(1) under the Hollan-Bukit Timah GRC, how long will we be \"observed\" before being a Grassroot Leader?
(2) How long do they require you to serve as a Grassroot leader before they acknowledge you as one?
(3) will I have enough time to do so?

Hi Hi, I think you might be a bit late as from my understanding, you need to be at least an Executive member (and minimum 1 year being one) before you are being given the letter. Prior to being EM, the observation will take about 3-6 mths?

The next GE is also around that period. So unexpected events such as redraw of boundaries might happen again

Yupz that is why I think joining RC is also quite a dangerous route in any case the boundaries get redrawn then oh oh. :scared:

My backup plan is PV but I know NHPS PV is very hard to get in, hope my skillsets can match what the school requires. In the meantime, get my hub back to RC as exec member and pray hard that for the next few years, no balloting required for HPPS.
