hi everyone, my son just finished O levels and he did very well for his O levels. I recall the hours the teachers spent last year in motivating and pushing the Sec 4 cohort. I am so proud to say my son went to YTSS.

My son also attends YTSS. I am all thumps up for this school. The teachers are dedicated. If the child slackens in a particular subject, the teacher ensures that the child is taught during the subject days which are days the child stays back after school. My son is going to sit for O levels this year. The teachers are very hardworking and i am of the view that i could not have sent him to a school better than YTSS.

my daughter’s school seems to discourage students from taking HMT. they say it does not help in the T-score and the time spent on it is better spent on other subjects. If that were the case, then why have it in the first place. I am sure the objective of learning Tamil must go beyond just grades. can someone please enlighten me on the benefits of taking HMT.

I find that my daughter is utterly exhausted after the supplementary classes. i personally would prefer if the school would excuse her from supplementary lessons. 1-1 tuition is way better and zooms in on her weaker areas. she would have come home, had lunch and adequate rest before tuition. Hence she would be more alert during tuition.

i have to agree. So far I am all thumps up for this school. The teachers are very caring and ensure that my son performs to his full potential. i understand from the recent O level results that the school has done above the national average for most or all of the subjects.

hm…that sounds scary indeed.

YTSS is a band 1 , autonomous school. My son attends the school. All the sec 3 students have to do pure physics and chemistry together with A&E maths. the rest of the subjects are what the student chooses .It is a very good school and the teachers are very concerned over the children. I am glad my son is there.
