For most CCAs, it is free. The CCAs that require payment are those conducted by PTA(usually external vendors) and are mostly held on Saturdays. Other than those, the CCAs should be free šŸ™‚

This is a reasonable answer. :thankyou:

The basic class for all CCAs in a school should be free for all students if they are compulsary and this should be included in the education budget. The school should ensure that the basic class is within reach for all students. IMO.
The enhancement/enrichment classes are for those affordable who wish to excel further and they are optional.

      Hi Parents,

Just to check do we have to pay for CCA class fee (not extra lesson) like Wushu, ballet dance, badminton etc for P3-P6?

Actually what are the things that we have to pay or not for CCA? Any advise?
As my understanding of CCA is part of the education compulsory programs and it should be included under the school fee. That is free in my old time. Not considering any extra enhancement class here I am referring to just the basic class.
      Many thanks.

Good Morning to All, my son will be in P1 next year (2010). :celebrate:

I am new to the Primary school education system, hope to learn from the experienced parents what are the things to look out here. TIA.
      Cheers! :rahrah:

1st Qns: Does anyone know the school bus transport service schedule and charges from Bishan to Rosyth? What is the bus route if possible? TQ.

      ChiefKiasu:

Oh... my analysis is purely technical. From the numbers, the APP in Phase 2C has dropped from 441% in 2006 to 214% this year, and the fall has been consistent. This is indicative of falling demand. But even so, the chance of getting into Rosyth in Phase 2C is still 2 to 1 and requires less than 1km.

Why does there appear to be a fall in demand? You will need parents with kids in Rosyth to tell you that.
      Thanks for your reply.
Yes, I can see that too and this apply to all phases since 2006 (the datas that I can see here).
And 2 to 1 in Phase 2C this year is just the ratio, the actual no. is declining. The demand is actually falling. Why??

      ChiefKiasu:
The good news is that there is a definite downward trend in demand for Rosyth through the years, and especially so for this year in Phases up to Phase 2B, so it is possible that it may go below 200% this year.

Hi Chief, I have the same reading as you. Would like to hear your personal view on this trend? pm me if necessary.
Btw my son is in next year under 2B.

Also, for those who intend to shift near the school, do consider carefully.
As the single session change will result in demand for more classroom space and if vertical expansion is not feasible, a relocation option may kick in. Anything is possible to happen.
      IMHO.
