No, my child did not secure a place with MCS. I will now consider phase3 school for her.
I will now seriously consider relocating my family overseas.

nope, educational in fact......with gahmen new immigration policy to open the floodgate.....we will see more competition for P1 from now on, this is despite that our birth rate has declined since 2002......

I am grateful for the experience, my child may not get to go to the school of choice, she will if she studies hard and make it there on her own merit......

try offer your service as a chaperone - accompanies and guides children during their overseas’ education trip…you have to pay for your ticket and accommodation…


A single trip, you would have clocked more than 40 hours…

start getting to know who and who in the board of directors or alumni. It is who knows you and not you know who that matter. she/he may sponsor your child for p1 registration and that’s the surest method.


So, start rubbing shoulders now…start by donating to the school indoor hall or participate in school’s CCA i.e. floral exhibition…etc…

I attended the same talk by ex-principal 2 years ago. I offered para-legal and financial services. I was asked whether i would consider traffic warden and i agreed. alas, i was not selected even though i stayed within 1km. There were many parents willing to volunteer at all costs. The school selected 40 from over 200 of which half were within 1km.

Anyways for those of us parents who didnt get into the schools of our choices in Bishan and GY is the next alternative. I did some research and came across this article on GY. Its really amazing how difficult it is to find feedback on this school.

spent the weekend seeking divine intervention. the ballot will be held at 4pm today and 54 will be vying for 18 places. This is worst than previous of 68 for 36.
