I believe you have been given the wrong information. I am staying in a condomimium and am serving in an NC, which is the equivalent of RC for private estate people. So the NC is precisely for people who are not staying in a HDB flat and to say you cannot join it is clearly not correct. Unless they are saying there is no NC in your constituency. As suggested by the others, you can go to PA website and sign up as a volunteer. The relevant community center staff should call you in due course.

Sorry to be asking such a fundamental/stupid question but how can we find out which schools belong to our GRC now? MOE used to have it on their website but now there seems to only be a list by planning area, not GRC. I used to also key in the postal code of the school on the PA website but that’s kind of a reverse search method, is there an easier way?

Hi, I’m not really "new" since I’ve been reading all the posts for eons but this is my first post to officially join the club of kiasu parents. I’m a working mum with a 9 month old, stumbled upon this blog when I was looking for a good preschool for my girl (kiasu eh?).
