Hello parents, school is starting in a week time.I guess is time to start letting your dd learn to wear double layers (2 shirts) at home so that they can adapt to the heat when school starts. As heard from my dd,secondary students like wearing their uniform with a shirt (mostly pe attire) inside. My dd is starting this practice tomorrow so wonder if any parents will agree and follow my saying.

Well since there is air conditioning in the classroom (where most time in school is spent), wearing a pinafore with a blouse underneath is not that warm, so your DD need not worry of it being too hot it school
I guess it differs with every individual, but my primary school uniform was only 1 layer thick and I still adapted to the heat well without any prior preparations
Amongst my peers I am not really aware of students wearing pe attire under their blouse. When we do, however, it's because we don't have enough time to change out of our PE T-Shirt and then wear our blouse after pe. (BTW, we're supposed to change out of our PE attire after PE and into our blouse, so please remind your DD on PE days just in case she forgets

Lol, thank goodness. It was the softball players that I saw on Thurs in their white outfits. Lordy, I saw their pants and shoes were muddy.[/quote]Yep the softball players need to train on the school field even after it just rained, so they tend to get their shoes and socks all muddy
Some UGs usually use the amphitheater area I think, and GB / NCC uses the netball courts. NCC also does runs around the track, they don't use the fieldsa child:

UGs don't march in the field, but mostly around the netball court area btw.
The only CCA that uses the field, I think, is a sport (softball)

Ha ha, I'd seen from this thread somewhere that the bookshop is a very 'dangerous' place to visit cos you'll surely come out buying somethings. Maybe shld cut down expenses to $5 daily instead!
Haha the school bookshop sells all kinds of items, from basic stationery to Care Bears!
I must agree that it is a rather 'dangerous' place to visit when you have a limited allowance XD

Hi, I'm starting at RGS next year. I just want to know if I can join fencing without any prior experience, cuz it sounds interesting but i havent tried it before.
Hi Keldeo though you do not have any prior experience, you are still free to try out for fencing during the CCA trials, and may be accepted into the CCA too! The most important thing is that you enjoy the sport, and are willing to try out for it

Nametags can be bought from the school's Popular bookshop. Glad you enjoyed today's registration! The school will be issuing 2 nametags to the girls later on. Where/when can we purchase/order extra nametags?
Today's registration was well organised. And the seniors were very helpful! Thank you all! :rahrah:
