As a FTWM, there are lots of times that I feel I am carrying the load alone.
The husband helps in ferrying the kids around but I do not feel that I get much support in other areas. If I guessed correctly, he leaves it to me since we have two girls and I am the automatic choice to deal with the "female" issues.
I am very tired … but what can I do.
So, for the husbands here, your wives might be screaming for help and support and you don’t even know. I wonder what the husbands will do if their wives just collaspe or give up totally …

RE: Preparing for sec 1
We did not do anything to prepare my elder dd when she went into sec 1 this year.
There are a host of new subjects eg History, Geography etc and as most everyone is starting out on the same page, I did not see a need to send her for any preparatory classes.
The only tuition she attends is Chinese tuition as we are not able to help her in that area. She managed the other subjects on her own and did ok in school.
My take would be to let the kids have a go at it and then see if they do need help and in what specific areas after three to six months. Also, do note that the kids will have very very packed schedules with projects, CCA etc, so it might not be a good thing to sign them up for too many tuition classes until they are used to the school schedule. -
RE: What happen on 1st day of sec school?
Schools will definitely have planned out lots of orientation activities for the kids to bond with their new classmates during the first few days.
I am sure by sec 1, the kids will want to be left to enjoy themselves away from the prying eyes of their parents. So no, I am sure parents do not need to follow their kids to school on the first day of their secondary school lives. -

Hi, new to this forum.
I am full time working mother to two girls. One a teen and and the other in primary school.
Both lovely and yet giving you different set of headaches.
