Hi,
I remembered I was like you few years back - checking around, hoping to make the right choice for my child. My daughter is now in gmps. I see that she enjoys her school life very much. Most of her teachers are reponsible and approachable. At least for my case, whenever I have something to check with the teachers, I received prompt response. The school work is quite manageble for P1 and P2 levels but there is a \"jump\" from P3 onwards.
Fyi, as P1 and P2 students do not need to take exams (except for maybe in P2, yr end), there are several tests and \"show-and-tell\" sessions to assess the students' ability. In my opinion, especially from P3 onwards, it is not enough to rely soly on the teachers to teach your child and then expect very good results (unless your child is one of those who is self-motivated and bright). I encourage parents to also find some time to sit down with your child and go through with them their school work. This is good for bonding and also to help your child clarify any doubts he/she has.
This school has many students. It is a big family. Like many other schools, gmps also has many activities for students to participate. This makes school more fun and interesting. To me, the most important thing is to see my child enjoy her school life and coping well with her school work. Overall, I'm comfortable to put my child in this school. Just sharing.
