The mrt route is not remote. Before and after school there are many cedarians walking there. Also they hv to walk pass the terrace houses. It's not a long walk. I always say that given the fitness levels of the girls, those walks are really nothing difficult for them. Even if your girl is not fit physically, she will be after half a year.

My ds tells me the Cedarians hv a weekly running programme.
      Is this true?

It's part of Cedarian tradition. However, with things going on about the Cedar track making way for the Bidadari estate, I'm not sure about future plans for the running programme.

In any case, from my DD's experience, PE lessons are by themselves quite rigorous already.

Son's CCA is until 6 most of the time...really lucky it is a Friday. Can't imagine if he has to take 2 CCAs....like friend's son. 2x or even 3 times a week, he has to stay back. Secondary school life is really different and tougher.

I agree. When my DD was in sec school, she ended at 5 plus for 2-3 out of the 5 schooldays. It's even tougher if the kids are involved in some in-house projects or research work.

Does anyone have advice on Bedok South and Bedok View? What is the culture like and are the students well-behaved? My DS scored lower than expected and we are really worried now. Appreciate any help!

Glad to reciprocate by providing advice on preparation for Sec 1 for Cedar, Temasek and Chung Cheng. Based on DD’s experience and my colleagues’ sharing sessions.

      Hi,

My dd got 247. Any chance of getting into cedar girls ? Cedar COP 2013/2012 was 251& 248 respectively....
Hmm, Cedar's COP has been rising steadily. In my DD's year, it was only 246.

Are you putting it as first choice? Any other schools in mind?
