My family of four are covered under NTUC Incomeshield Advantage plan and we also include the rider. We also covered ourselves under the LUV plan (me and hubby under deluxe and for my kids under basic).
So far, we are glad (thank GOD!!!) that we have not "use" any of the insurance. But I guess H&S insurance plan is a must for every individual as we will not know what can happened in the future. Its better to be safe than sorry…

For my daughter and son, I opened for them OCBC Mighty savers account for daily savings and once they have saved upto SGD 20.00, then will head down to OCBC to get a new set of stickers.
Have another one under POSBkids for their AP and BDay $$$. Also NTUC thrift for junior for as and when I have xtra then I will put into that account. -
RE: What kind of mobile phone to get for kids?
My P2 daughter mobile phone is HTC wildfire. Got it FOC with a 2-year contract under my name.
Plan is iPhone Value @ SGD 36.00 with free incoming calls, 100min outgoing calls, 500 sms and 12GB.
Kind of worth it coz she plays games, FB, YouTube and since me and hubby working, it is also easy to get hold of her and her brother too

RE: CDA account
For those who are born in year 2005, you can either withdraw cash or transfer your CDA funds to the PSEA. By now, parents should have received the letter informing them of this matter.
From 15 November 2011 onwards, you can log-in to http://www.babybonus.gov.sg/html/eService.html to make your option if you want to withdraw the CDA cash. You need your SINGPASS to log into this e-Service. And you have upto 18 December 2011 to make your option.
And for saving upto the max, you have till 29 December 2011 to do so to benefit from the gvt matching contribution.
Hope this helps
