Pai de Janeiro:
Hi, I am relatively new here.

Does it mean that for a MS kid to apply for DSA Academic in RI, the chance of getting CO is slim?

      Any figures for that?

      Thanks for enlightening me.
In my experience it's a waste of effort and time. If you really think you want to send your MS to RI . Please focus on his PSLE score. This way you can secure a place for your MS in RI. It's in your hands upto an extent. For MS , DSA (academic domain) is almost impossible. My Son has done throughout excellent in academics, CCAs and sports and Few Olympiads. He never scored less than 100 in Maths and less than 95 in science and less than 90 in any subject. And he has been a head prefect in primary. We applied RI only knowing the fact that we won't make it. We didn't expect it until we got an email from RI saying that my Son was exempted from GAT and was directly invited for half a day camp and he told he did well in that domain test as wel. But his candidature went unsuccessful. So this is my experience.

Not selecting him in DSA is RI's loss but I'm sure he will make it through Psle. So I would advise if your Son Is MS , choose Psle route to RI.

For the sake of those DSAing in the future, is there anyone from Mainstream receiving at least a Waiting List offer into RI's academic DSA? How about the 11 of the Mainstreamers who went for the interviews?

My ds (MS)unsuccessful, not sure about the other ds from MS who went for interview.

Any updates from RI after half a day camp? Do they call shortlisted MS students (academic) for interview after half a day camp?
I'm also not sure if it is because of the GAT that 's why my DS is being invited for the interview.

From past RI 's interview, the GEP need to prepare their own project work fir presentation but the letter i received never mentioned it. Just need to bring student pass for identification. Is it difference from the past? Thanks!

Hi, how was your DS's interview in RI? I hope he did well.all the best.

Thanks p6 father! How about your son?

The interview took about 15 min. Only 11 students was called up for interview on that day. Only 1 or 2 GEP kids , the rest was from MS (most of them from GEP school with 1 or 2 neighbour school). Most of them were exempted from GAT. A parent told me that it was the last day of interview. 3 students in one group for the interview with 2 interviewers. hope this will help next yr dsa students.
Hi, Glad to hear. My DS is MS student. He has applied in academic domain (Maths) and is exempted from GAT and is called for half a day camp coming Saturday. Let's see what happens. Thanks
