    • RE: Edusave Scholarship Award

      Hi fellow parents,

My son received the Edusave Learning Achievement cert for P1 and together with that the busary form. Our income exceeds the minimum, so not eligible for bursary award, but I want to know if my son will still be called for the ceremony to hand out the certificate? Any parents has similar experience before ?

It should be much easier now. You just need to email the school your child was registered in.
      https://www.moe.gov.sg/primary/p1-registration/how-to-register?toggle-id=documents-for-withdrawal-from-school

Be sure you give enough time so that the withdrawal will come in time, otherwise, you child may be left without a registered school 😓
Thank you. Yeah hopefully things should be much faster now that everything is online. :xedfingers:

Hi qms, Yes that makes sense … i didn’t look at the number 59 for Phase 2Cs. Thanks for this insight.

Just one more question, how easy or difficult is it to withdraw your child from earlier phase and apply in the next phase? For e.g. I will try for a school in Phase 2B, but that school is quite far from my home, so still want to try to a couple of neighbourhood schools near my home in Phase 2C if the registration numbers look encouraging. In that case, will it be easy for me to withdraw my child from Phase 2B school and apply in Phase 2C on time ? Appreciate if people can share based on their experience …
I am registering my first child, so very new to the whole process …

HI Zac’s mum, I did not find the answer here… hence asking on this forum. Very confusing as to how come there was balloting when all 91 applicants got in in Phase 2C in Y2020. Anyway, may be some missed data point or something …

One more question - During the Phase 2C window (which is open for 3 days I guess) MOE publishes the PR vacancies. but do they also publish how many PRs have applied? This should provide a good idea if balloting will happen…

Depends. If you are an SC, then you will always get into BTPS in Phase 2C with the school only 2/3 filled.
If you are a PR, there was some very slight balloting in 2020 for those staying >2km away.
Thanks for your reply. I am a PR and staying >2km. When you say there was slight balloting, you mean Phase 2C or 2Cs? If I look at the balloting history for the past 2 years.. in Phase 2C 2021, no. of applicants was 81 and all 81 got in. Same in 2020, number of applicants were 91 and all 91 got in.. so not sure how come there was balloting? In Phase 2Cs however, yes there is usually balloting even for SC>2km. Unless the information on balloting history websites is not entirely correct.

      Hello,

Looking for some advise here … may I know if we may have to face ballot if applying in BTPS in Phase 2C ? or is the ballot only for Phase 2Cs ? My understanding is that this school usually does not go to ballot for 2C whether its PR or SC, so just want to confirm that.

      thanks
