Just sharing some of my 'results' of recce and hunting down for playgroup (2hrs programme)
- Tulip Montessori
Fees were on the higher end for a partial montessori playgroup. Not exactly convenient for me, so I didn't went for a look at the centre.

Teacher I met with is really nice and kind when I went without appointment. The smell of disinfectant is slightly strong, and a tad overwhelming. Kids look very happy there. Place is neat and bright. Placed on waitlist for flexi-care of 3 hours, doubt will get a place there.
- Little Learners
Teacher told me their emphasis is not on syllabus teaching, more of play and songs. I am not really keen on sending my girl to a place for playing, if I'm paying to expect more. Classroom looks okay, whole class of boys only one girl. Not very appealing to me. There's a miscellaneous fee of $60/term for the outlet I enquired.

Located just opposite of Yew Tee MRT, the place is part of a tuition centre, or vice-versa. Has a room specially for nursery playgroup, looks neat and no disinfectant smell. Saw kids' work, Letterland teaching materials on the wall. Principle showed me the workbooks which looked pretty good.
- Star Tots (Edufarm)
Located very near my house, probably a 7 mins walk with a toddler. It is inside a room of a RC. No 'built-in' toilet in the same room. Teacher had very thick and 'wayang' makeup, which I think was not really suitable for a preschool teacher. She's around 50s, spoken english was good enough, IMO. Assistant teacher didn't bother to talk to me. Walked around the classroom but found no Letterland materials. Asked the teacher about it, and she told me she has her own materials which are 'better', in her words. Being curious, I requested to see the 'materials', she showed me a book which turned yellow, with black and white outlines of letters. Not appealing, at all! Several other stuffs which literally turned me off instantly. Walked off and promised myself to not enroll my girl there. Even though she told me her class is near full, 14 students now. But I doubt the quality of the teachings there.
Any mummies wanna share more info on Playgroups? -

Edufarm uses Letterland, according to their website.

Hi!
I'm looking for playgroup for my 15+ months old girl. Intending to send her for 2-3 hours of playgroup when she reaches 18-20 months old.
I've shortlisted a few CCs, but am not absolutely sure which ones does provides playgroup option for >18 months old. Do give your opinions and share your experiences. If possible, do share with me their fees too.
I've read through the entire thread, would like to get updates here. Need to narrow my list to recce.
