Thks. Yes we did enjoy ourselves very much. Day tour gave us the best of both worlds. Every aspect of the day when we choose to engage that day tour provider was well taken care of. And other day we could resume our free and easy mode while we were in the city.
That's awesome! Perks of having a local guide. Also, you till got energy to wander and experience the city at night.

Actually I have nothing against Air Asia, and of all the low cost / budget carriers, I find the food options and pricing better on Air Asia than other carriers. Anyone remembers Pak's Nasi Lemak? lol!
My friend never got tired of eating Pak Nasi Lemak she ordered that one on the plane. 😄

We joined a day tour. All taken care of by the organiser. We were picked up in mini bus near MRT station together with other tourists. On board was a Chinese speaking guide. Restaurant lunch inclusive. The day tour covered Nami island and areas around. And we were driven back and dropped off in Seoul the end of day. I find this arrangement hassle free.
Glad to hear about that experience! Hope you had a blast.

Unable to avail of the scoot promotion when it officially operated in the country. It was indeed so cheap but it’s quite pricey now though reasonable since it’s a direct flight to another country. It saves time.

    • RE: South Korea Tourism: Is It Worth It?

Are you planning to travel to Korea with your family but don't know where to start or what are the things to do as first-time visitors?

If you are wondering if South Korea is worth to visit then this is the answer, Yes! Why?

In December 2022, there's an increase of 501.5% inbound visitors in South Korea compared to 391% in November 2022. This signifies that South Korea does not only offers Kpop songs and K-dramas but they offer more than you could imagine.

Before going to Korea, know what is your preferred weather and climate to enjoy every minute of your stay. Regardless, there are things you can do in each season.

If your kids are fond of K-Dramas, handbok rental is a must-try experience and if they love listening to Kpop songs, Kpop Tour should be on the list as well. If you want to visit other destinations outside Seoul, know every region's attractions so you'd know what to include in your itinerary. You don't have to worry about transportation regardless its distance since the whole country is connected by rail. \t

Moreover, knowing the culture, history, and tradition of Korea is a great way to understand how South Koreans behaved and learn how their socities, systems and even ideologies were built. You can do that through a full-day sightseeing tour in Seoul. You don't have to worry about language barriers because local guides can speak in english and explain every sight you visit.

You and your kids deserve a vacation!

    • RE: Driver for Korea

Nami Island is the easiest to reach by car from Seoul. Driving from Jamsil takes about an hour and fifteen minutes, while leaving from Myeongdong takes an hour and forty-five minutes, and leaving from Hongdae takes an hour and forty-five minutes. Depending on the climate and the state of the roads, times may change. Anyway, if you're considering a guide to set your plans however you like, might be in Seoul or outside Seoul, this might help you https://gowithguide.com/korea.
