Yes correct. No special exceptions to make space for foreigners. Its all based on what is left. Whats filled, remains filled until somebody withdraw for whatever reasons.

Dear expert here, need advise here. Options 1: request for transfer to other school now Options 2: Accept the school given by MOE first and put ourselves in a few school waiting list first and request for transfer when closer to our return date if we still can’t get the idea school we wanted? Or we still can ask for transfer now and once the school we wanted have vacancies we can transfer again? Once we still have time till 2022.

No expert but what I understand or found out after checking with an admin staff from a school I enquired, the balance vacancy after phase 2cs is open to foreigners for phase 3. They have priority (cos phase 3 is for them) after which, if IF there is any vacancy, they will look into the waitlist. Correct me if im wrong.

When orientation is being held, those groups will naturally be organized. For now, just sit back and relax.

On the contrary, the numbers are quite in line with expectations.

If you look at the numbers applying for Phase 2CS and the number of people who will be left without a school after failing the ballot (before MOE post them), it’s well within the norms. The number of places left is also more than sufficient to cater to them.

What is unique about this year is probably the number of people all wanting to go for the same schools as well as the number of people who plays it safe by going for < 1km schools.

Based on ur point about people going for <1km schools I thought it is only right or the way to go considering it will attain them priority. Plus its with MOE hopes that for the child well being they dont have to wake up too early to travel to school. So its not exactly about playing safe but the cluster of up and rising new neighbourhood and/or BTO. Feel the pinch here for Sengkang/Punggol area.
