Hellooooo I am a secondary 2 school student.


My school’s subject combinations do not allow students to take both Bio and Art together, but I really love both subjects. If possible, how do I appeal to take up both the subjects in sec3?
My current mid-year results are not bad,
6A1s, (Maths, science, literature, history, geography,design and Tech)
1B3, (Art) (67)
1B4, (English) (64)
1E8(mother tongue, CL) (44)

My overall percentage is 76%
I’m the top student in class, but in cohort I’m #4 (less than 1% away from #3)
I was top in art last year in express and top in science for this year’s midterm

Or am I too ambitious? if so should I take bio or art?
If I should take both how do i appeal?


Also, if possible, is there a way to exempt from taking mother tongue? xD
My PSLE tee is 230, had 2As and 1A* and a B(CL MT)
My CL grades are dropping >< In sec 1 my average Chinese score was a C6 but now it’s an E .----. Without mother tongue I feel that I can focus on other subjects and score even higher. (Mother tongue is pulling down my overall score)

Art is kindof a language too haha
I can score higher in bio than in art but art is more fun >>

I’m also not going to JC because i dont want to do Mother tongue
Headaches everytime my brain processes those LIL complicated Chinese words

My idea is to take up art and bio in place of mother tongue Or to take both art and bio with mother tongue

I’m in performing arts and I wish to pursue a career in the Arts, but I’m very interested in science.
