Hi, may I know if anyone had received the letter for ECHA award already? Does it usually be sent together with other Edusave award? Thanks.
Hi, i don't think so. My DD received 3 different letters in 3 different days. Monday was ECHA, Tuesday EAGLES, and today, Edusave Scholarhip.

not sure why they didn;t send in 1 letter.

Sorry to be posting a stupid question. I am confused about how S1 Posting works.

Assuming Child A puts School ABC as 4th choice.

Child B puts School ABC as 1st choice.

Child A TSCORE is higher than Child B.

Will Child A be allocated a vacancy in school ABC first or child B?

      Thanks

Assuming Child A can’t get into any of his first 3 choice, he will be considered BEFORE Child B for School ABC.

Higher scorer will always get to pick first.

Thanks zac_mum and floppy for your clarification.

      Hello both

Thanks for sharing this as I was looking for answer to this question as well.

1 more question, assuming we indicate we want to accept the WL on the 21 Oct form, on the PSLE results announcement date (21 Nov??? ) , it will be indicated clearly in the results slip whether our WL is converted into CO or not . Is this assumption correct?

If yes, I assume, there is no need to participate in S1 exercise. End of story. But if WL not converted to CO, it will be indicated clearly on 21 Nov results release date, then we participate in S1 post exercise as per process.

Do let me know whether my understanding of the process is correct? Thank you!

      Yes, you are correct.
If converted, you will be informed that you are posted to whichever school.
No S1 forms for you to fill up and participate in.
Otherwise, you will get the S1 package for reading/ filling up.

Thank you so much Zappy 🙂

For scenario 1, if the WL doesn't get converted to CO, that's the end of the DSA exercise and the student will have to go to S1 Central Posting Exercise to make his selection. I don't think the student automatically gets into the school if t-score meets the COP.

Not disagreeing with you. Hence, the part in red is important.

Ok, I see what you're saying. May be clearer to separate DSA exercise from S1 central posting, because so long as DSA exercise is in play you cannot participate in S1 central posting. Just so there's no misunderstanding for readers who might think you can do both at the same time.[/quote]Hello both

Prelims ended today. Looking back, think we spent too much time on orals, but don’t think turn out much better than if we had spent less time on it. On the other hand, feel so unprepared for prelims, especially for science.. could not finish going through the past mistakes also. Feeling apprehensive how the results would come back to be like. I Guess kid also feeling stressed out, and sometimes throw tantrums and refuse to go through the mill anymore...even ask me, why one exam can determine where they go for the next 4 years (Guess this is what the school teacher has been telling them)

On one hand, wish it can be over faster.. on the other hand, wish we had more time to prepare
Precisely why is there a NATIONAL exam for 12 years old? Many 12 years old are not even mature enough yet. But where they will spend their important formative teen years where peer influence is so important will be determined just on 1 exam at the young age of 12.

Many countries do away with such national exams at 12 years old as it really does not make sense. But we are stuck here so no choice have to follow and the average children suffer.

I also called rgs.. They seem to be giving different details.. According to them, notifications for interviews sent from last week to this week .

There wont be any interviews for math/sci domains but there will be for languages.. yet.. phtthp just verified there is one going under math domain..

When asked for more details, its kind of hush hush..

No idea why they are not direct about interviews given for the domains but... if the interviews are really given to selective candidates.. then its probably a sure win for those kids already.

Btw, may i know wat is the duration for the test under language domain?
Hello, I called this morning too, and was told by RGS that for math/science domains, there will not be any interview after the selection tests. She repeated this to me 2 times actually because I asked for clarification.

But phtthp posted her friend's child is going for Math Domain interview at RGS today. Hence, this is really puzzling.....
