I have a quick question, is it possible to transfer into RV at y5? my sister is sec 4 this year and taking her o's and she would like to transfer to RV but I'm not sure if this can be done or not since I haven't heard any of such cases. she is aiming for a <10 score, so if it's possible would that be enough to get into RV?
any type of information would be helpful right now, and I know it would be best to just head to the GO to ask but I thought I would ask here first... if anyone knows any helpful info please share! thanks a lot

I'm in Yr 1 this year too. As far as I know I'm quite sure the school library provides some past year papers of different subjects for us, your daughter can borrow it from the library to photocopy and return it to the school. That's what my friend has been doing too! Also you can get your daughter to arrange more consultation sessions with her teacher maybe? Personally I think Yr 1 Maths is quite easy as long as you can keep up in class, grasp the concept and you should be more or less alright If anything you can contact me, I might not be an expert in maths but I'm more than willing to help in any way possible! good luck for her eoys!

I’m currently a Year 1 student in River Valley High and I’m really keen to try out for next year’s 2015 Year 3 admission. Is anyone familiar with the process and all?

So far what I know is that there will be a selection test followed by an interview and English essay test (or something?) for shortlisted ones. Is that correct? If so, any tips for preparing for the test and such? I heard the competition for the Year 3 intake is especially tough…also does anyone know about how many students they take in per year for Year 3?

I’ve tried asking seniors who were from RV and successfully transferred into NUSH, they were of great help but I had SO many questions I didn’t want to bother them too much. My mum is also asking for more information to help prepare me for the transfer, so I will hopefully get in (after being rejected for Phase 2 Admission last year… e_e not the best experience) because NUSH has always been my dream school.
