friendship:I suppose these members you are referring are active members. They only confirm in 01 August 2011. However, they joined as observer 6 mths before august.
PA doesn't know anything. CO still ask the chairman to do the recommendation.
I believe it also depends on the GRC. Sad to say our GRC has no good schools at all. Unlike Bt Timah, Toa Payoh, West Coast whereby they are surrounded by good schools. I think chairman also just signed, the school that these people fighting are only neighbourhood school close to their home. Nothing big deal.
I believe also depend on the chairman, whether he/she is a petty person or a 'big hearted' person.
The way I see, if they are confirmed as members on 1 Aug 2011, I don't see why CO should not support them on their appeals. Since registration for phase 2B was on 19 & 20 July, which means their services are only 10-11 days shorter to be qualified and that's where an appeal kicks in.
I believe CO isn't blind. He/She would have seen their contribution made and therefore, request Chairman to do recommendation. Whether a Chairman with \"big\" or \"small\" heart, he can recommend but final decision will be made by CD and adviser. Doesn't mean Chairman recommends, CD or Adviser will approve their appeals. I have seen many unsuccessful appeals at my RC too.
By the way, since your neighbourhood has no good primary schools within your GRC, so which \"big deal\" primary school did your child attend previously? Good or bad, it's individual choice and maybe you should refrain from any sarcasm remarks.
