Can anyone give advise on berries at woodlands?

Need some advise. I am planning to put my girl with either berries or han. I like berries environment. Clean, neat. Han is very happening and lively. But I was rather surprised that the place for berries at woodlands commuity centre is very small and i hear children repeatedly saying in mandrain. The teacher in charge looks very nice and you can see that chen lao shi will not throw temper at children. But there is one thing that I am rather disturb is that they do not have follow up until secondary and the children have to carry their own tables and will not have chairs to sit until they are in p2. I was wondering what happens if the table drops on their feet. How? I have not tried to put my child for trial lesson yet but can I check with mummies who have tried if it good? Kindly advise.

However, there is one thing which I feel that the teachers in SMPS should improve on and that is to lay a stronger foundation for the students. They have set up this COP points and one of the reason was because of the weaker students who have migrated to SMSS. If I have read from the forum correctly, it was mentioned by one of the mummies. SMPS may have used stellar programmes or Marshall Cavendish books, and these are good stuffs that are used in many good schools too. Teachers play an important role in bringing the students up in terms of academic excellence and so beside having character building with the students, maybe teachers in SMPS could also look in areas on their teaching. Should they anchor the students on more tough questions so that they can think deeper and hence able to score better in their academic. What say all of you?

Our dds will be going to the same school. I am also outside the 2km radius system.

foreverj, whichever choice of school we make for our children, go with our hearts. As long as we are comfortable with the choice, we will be at ease and so will our child. It does not really matter how others feel. What is most important, is whether do you like your child to be in the school. Of course, when people do comment on certain things, we take it with a pinch of salt. Ultimately, it is still our decision.


Are you registering your child into P1 next year? Doing pv? I just heard that the application has been closed. Hope that helps!

Ponyo, can i check when p1 girl enters into the school first, do they have orientation program? How many week does it last?

Are you an old girl from SMPS? You seemed very actively involved in it. Does the school still have nativity play at the end of the year? I went to the school just this year itself. It looked rather posh from outside. I like the green view of the school. The chapel is no longer like at the entrance am i rite?

lovejoypeace, I would really love to join the PTA. but I cannot still as my child is still not in SMPS. Next year, I will definitely join. It is a good thing to join so that I know what is going on in the school too. Or else it will be blur blur de. Btw, are you a working mum or a SAHM? I believed must take time off to do some of these events. But I do enjoy cos as you say, I can use the event as a common topic to talk it out with my dd and there is common interest too. Sounds interesting!
