Yes the Science paper was the easiest. Easier than previous years.

I would have preferred harder paper...like that impossible to predict or weed out the exemplary...all those undeserved ones also AL1 and all competing for top schools when the ones that are deserving should walk in now will ballot

totally agree! looking at past few days comments, looking at so many parents complaining at MOE fb ,...... im wondering, if all kids scoring AL1 for all subjects, is this what we want? everyone just have to use pandemic as excuses and all kids get a chance to try RI, NYG, HC..........
Some parents might be living within 1km to 2 or 3 schools, so they might want to wait till the last day to decide which school have got a better chance.

As long as the cut off time for all living within 1km is the same, these parents can make their decision by that time, whether it is 1 day earlier or a few hours earlier, because they know that no one within 1km can register for that school anymore.

I suppose if someone is living <1km to school A and 1-2km to school B, then they might want to wait till the last day to see if they have go any chance for school B. Ultimately this is all about being a little kaisu for wanting the best for their kid
Yes! U r correct!!!!!
I'm within 1km to ACS pri, but 1-2km to jnr! I put in my reg on the last day.
If on the last day, ACS pri need ballot n ACS jnr 1-2km was 100% in, ofcos i will go for jnr.
Look at the number of applicants during the first days, there r so many 1-2km n more then 2km applicants, these ppl was thinking, they stand a chance! But for parents like us, what choice we have? Obviously these r the ppl that need to do last min withdraw n re-reg to another sch?
I would suggest, if u r with 1-2km or more then 2km to the sch U desired, u don't reg first, wait till the last day, n make sure there r chances for U then u reg it, if not, it's not others that make life difficult for U but u ve been making life difficult for others n urself.

missk:
I think schools that have less than 10 spaces left for sc within 1km should have called the parents more than 1km away to withdraw. Even if they ended up with a few spaces left it should not be a problem!! Should not wait till spaces fully taken before calling those parents. Those who want to take the gamble should know that a gamble includes pple within 1km registering at last minute and ending up with very slim to No chance

Precisely! I seeing some parents here was was complaining mainly becoz there r 1-2km that get affected of last min surge of 1km applicants or 1km applicants that need to ballot! To me, everyone r given a fair n equal chances, U made ur own decision! If parents decided to try their luck on some 'branded' sch n wanna take the risk even they r not within 1km, then prepared for it!
I understand some sch did give such warnning, but these ppl were die hard n still wanna go for it! N when things to go in their way, they start making noise!
