Hi everyone.
(sorry Grandmaster, I wasn't aware that newbie intro was an SOP here - thanks for the gentle reminder. =p)
I have two beautiful boys - 2 (just celebrated yesterday - yay!) and 4 years old. I was a FTWM until December last year. I finished a 2.5 year contract with the 'most exciting sports event in Singapore' (had a blast! Totally enjoyed it! ), and have since been taking long break to spend more time with my boys.
Both the boys go to full-time childcare at this point, so I have the day-time to take on some ad-hoc projects from home, like copywriting, translation and other home-based project work. I've started job-hunting again, but in the meantime, I'm a SAHM.
In my free-time, I enjoy photography, classical music and some baking. Used to be an avid diver, but I haven't been in the ocean since the kids arrived.
Haha, I shld also report in to the Late Nite Owl club thread cos I enjoy my moments of quiet surfing when the hubby and kids are all asleep.
Recently ventured into this site cos I'm starting to consider the primary school for my older boy, and if I choose one of the school, I'll hv to register for PV this year... A 'debate' has started at home with the man. It's tough being a parent isn't it, cos in a way we're responsible for how our children turn out.
Well, that's me in brief.
It's nice to meet you all.

RE: Choosing and Evaluating Primary Schools
I am new to kiasu parent, and after reading for a few days, i'm really feeling the stress of being a parent and having the heavy responsibility of choosing a good school for my boy.
We stay just a junction away from Radin Mas, but I have always worried abt the school being to stressful for our little children, despite it being a high-flying school topping charts over the years. I've also observed and heard from friends with kids in the school that the boys can be quite rowdy...
I've always like River Valley Primary for its focus on chinese education (we speak both languages at home, and the boy has chosen Mandarin to be his 1st language so he's really comfortable with it!), but obviously choosing RV wld mean that we'll have to volunteer, plus transportation wld be an issue when the kid has after-school activities.
So... the big debate at home with the hubby has started. The man thinks that it's silly not to consider Radin Mas when it is only a walk away from home... (i have to add that my boy is v vocal and mischievous, so I really want to do what i can to have him mix with the right crowd, cos if he doesn't, the likelihood of him getting into trouble is quite high!)
urgh. stressed. Why did mine and hubby's primary school have to close down!??
