    • RE: All About Montessori

      Hi superdaddy,

I understand tt the difficulties for working parents to spend time & leave for looking for a suitable cc / preschool. Perhaps u can try goggle map singapore to search suitable cc nearer to ur living place. In the goggle map, it shows the contact details & add of the cc / preschools. This is the way i look for preschool for my daughter. I will check the details fr internet & make a call before a visit to a preschool. It saves me time & travelling journey.

      Good luck to ur search.

      Hi superdaddy,

Whether the school has a valid reason to ask u to withdraw a child from school or not, it doesn’t matter. Since the school & the teachers there do not have the enthusiam in teaching ur child, u might as well withdraw him/her asap for the child’s own good. It’s good for him/her to change the school so tt he/she can ‘learn & play properly / normally’ like other children.

I just encountered this situation. Perhaps the teachers there couldn’t tolerate my child ‘scratched’ other children, whether intentionally / unintentionally (sometimes my child just want to hold other child’s hand, but unintentionally scratch others due to her ‘hard’ fingernails). The teachers there separated my child from others for couple of weeks. I think separating a child from others for long term is the most cruel things to the child who wants to play with & learn from others.

The principal & teachers directly told me tt changing a school might be good for her progress in learning since she can’t sit & learn properly in the class & require 1 to 1 attention. Whether they’re up to good wills or not, i decided to change school since the teachers not so enthusiam in teaching & helping my child. I’ve stopped my child from attending the school lessons & have found another new school which is really to help her.

      Good luck to u

      Hi Sun,

      Thanks for your valuable feedback.
Did ur son have any problem (problem of catch-up with the same-age children or other problems) when changing to another new school?

I’m not really understand how the montessori system works on the children. It doesn’t have the curriculum ‘syllibus’ like the mainstream kindergartens have. So how we know the things tt the children learn in montessori are ‘enough’ or up to the level when coming to P1?
