    • RE: Any Recommendation of a Good Maid Agency

I browsed through the pages and I looked at how people judge an agency based on statistics on the MOM website as well as other sources instead of their personal experience over at the agency makes me wanna laugh hard.

Firstly, statistics in the MoM websites merely shows the retention rates, and transfer rates. its only numbers. there are other factors to consider as well, (of course, partly there may be the fault of the agency having bad maids etc whatever… not entirely). FDW Transfer Rate means "Percentage of FDWs who, within the past 12 months, have been placed by the same EA to 3 or more employers out of the total number of FDWs it placed." Does it really mean the maid is bad? Could it be the maid was unlucky enough to have 3 or more bad employers? Similarly, if an employer had changed 3-4 maids within 12 months, does it really mean that the agency have lousy maids, or it’s more towards the employer’s problem? THINK

Secondly, as i’ve said, statistics are only numbers. Look at some agencies having 100% retention rates and 0% transfer rates. WOW AMAZING, does that really quantify the effectiveness of the agency? I can say that some agencies work in a way, that have 2 companies, Company A is used to market all the maids first taken from the agencies, and having any transfer maids, they would remarket them in Company B so as to maintain their statistics in company A. Sounds logical?

Thirdly, we are dealing with HUMANS not GOODs, LIVING THINGS GUYS, do you buy a puppy at the pet shop who tells you they won’t bite, you PERSONALLY feel it, "interviewed" it, and confirmed it does not bite, and you get it. As times passed by, say few months down the road, the puppy has grown, and starts to bite due to whatever reason, and you go back to the pet shop and complain of the pet shop’s inability to get a suitable pet?? Likewise, everyone have the experience of getting bad maids. Do you really think sales personnel in the agency would want an employer to come back at the end of the day and jeopardise their sales for your replacement because apparently "they have not done a good job finding suitable maids for me?" In most cases, ultimately you are also interviewing the maid and you are the one confirming her. Parents, it’s all about human relations. it takes 2 hands to clap.

Fourthly, if you are sincerely getting a maid, please do not compare prices, unless the particular agency charges are way too high off the usual rates that you have heard of. Chances are, they are $50-$300 difference. No money, don’t hire. Most importantly, is the services you get.

In conclusion, I just feel that people should judge agencies based on personal experience instead of mere statistics as well as other factors. Statistics are mere statistics for the particular factor, there are other factors that are needed to be factored in. Agencies can play with numbers too. Popular agencies can give you a bad experience, while agencies that you never heard before can give you the most memorable good experience.

Yes I am an agent from a Maid Agency, but I am not here to market my agency, nor say bad things about others. I am giving my point of view based on my experience, the clean and dirty tricks in this industry
