Anyone know the success rate of appeal for higher chinese?

There’s a change nxt year. 3-7 and 3-8 no longer "good" class. All the class are the same. Great for the kids as they will not be disappointed if not able to be in "good" class

Welcome to join Mee Toh, the students are split according to their results. The 2 "Good" class are 3-8 and 3-7. These student score band 1 or even better for all their papers. I guess the teachers will push these students to excel that’s why Mee Toh student has the highest psle score in Punggol for the past years. In terms of cca, you could check their website. There’s a few which obtain awards like Wushu,Chinese dance etc. In terms of higher chinese, all the good school offer it. So far my child did not complain. From what l know some parents will send the kids for enrichment if cannot catch up. The CCA fall on tuesday and if in the dance sometime thurs for performance. Take note to keep these2 days free.

For parents who are interested to know more about Mee Toh.

Higher Chinese- as long your child know their han yu pin yin no problem in P1.
I am really grateful that my child got a responsible and caring teacher in her P1 and P2. She gave extra coaching to students who need help in their studies and always call me to feedback on my child behavior issue.
In terms of homework l do not find that P1 or P2 recieve alot or is stressful. My child had many friends in Horizon who are given more homework than him.
The school emphasis on moral values.
It always better to prepare the child for P1 than jst depend on school cause we never knw which teacher will be teaching. Do we need to send them for enrichment depends on our expectation of the child.

Were all applications via SBL path rejected or only those with < 2 years membership?

Hi, from what l had heard from a parent who got in last yr thru SBL. He did volunteer work and had join membership for more than 2yrs. Thus he were selected as from what he know SBL over issue letters to it member.As he had done volunteer work there he manage to get in.

encountered the same thing again this year,submitted SBL letter but rejected by MTS without any reason! :stompfeet: Wondering how the Sch Management committee make the selection.

Will write letter to MOE but do not think MOE will help anything as such things happened in MTS every year.

Can I check the letter endorsement is for phase 2B? Did u serve as members over at SBL for at least 2 yrs? Just curious does the letter indicated your date join..

Hi, If you had read previous year applicants experience, it already show that SBL letter does not equal to acceptance of application at phase 2B. For future parents it better to check with SBL first if you need to volunteer or join 2 years before in order to secure a place at phase 2B.

Yup, they do refund the money, we return the extra items as it's a good time to show my girl honesty.
