Megan Lee:
Hi,Hi,
Based on MOE’s rollout plans, all primary schools are expected to move to single-session in 2015 -2016.
I had checked with YTPS and they are currently doing school upgrading, they expect to meet the timeline as stated above.
Hope this info may help:)
My DD is also in YTPS......If I am not wrong, YTPS is going single session in Year 2015, after the onsite upgrading. -
Hi, Can anyone share the YTPS’s PSLE year 2012 here, as found the sch has removed the info from the website? Thanks!!

Hello parents,
I have managed to enrol my DS into Yew Tee Primary for 2014. When I visited the school during the registration, I noticed that almost all the students carry big and heavy schoolbags. I’m concerned because my DS is rather small built.
Can I get some advice on the schoolbag? Will my DS need to carry a lot of books to school every day? Should I buy a roomy schoolbag? And should I get one that needs to be wide and tall enough to fit a ring file?
Thanks in advance! -

DD is in YTPS Pri 5 this year. Her school bag is always heavy(to me)but DS was not previously. I think is either she or her teacher is more kiasu, thus resulted in heavy bag. As she is in higher primary, she is now using ring file instead of plastic file . Also, all her worksheet need to be sign monthly and I usually ask her to put those files in a recycle bag for convenience . Now, she is using Impact sch bag. DD said they do have lockers but not many pupils using them.Hello parents,

When my child was in P1, we got him a bag big enough for ring files too. However, they only start to use ring files from P3 onwards. If they pack their bags diligently every night, they only need a bag big enough to hold plastic A4 size files. So we got him a normal padded backpack (not ergo type as quite heavy even when empty). From P1-P2 he normally brought 1-3 books, a plastic file to hold A4 worksheets, a diary and story book to school. I would ask him to pick paperback books. The item that weighs the bag down is his water bottle. The teachers will keep the files and workbooks in school, probably making use of the lockers.Hello parents,

Now that he is in P3, he is still using that small school bag. I would remind him to bring an A4 size bag (a bag given by the school to celebrate Children's Day, similar idea to recycle bag) at the end of the month. As mentioned by jjxy mum, the teachers would return the files for signing and review by parents.
If one day, his bag is going to be much heavier, I might consider getting him an Impact bag.
Not sure if it will be the same next year, my child had a term of swimming lessons in P1. He would have a gym bag packed with swim suit, plastic bag and towel. You may want to put this bag in a bigger bag then, get a big big right from the start or carry the gym bag separately. -
Hello parents, does the student in ytps have PE attire?
Thanks! -
bb1009:
Yes, the school uniform is also the PE attire. No need to change into PE attire for PE lessons, saves time and it is more comfortable to wear in class. The most important thing is, the uniform doesn't look untidy even if you have no time to iron it!Hello parents, does the student in ytps have PE attire?

What the students wear now are school uniform cum PE attire.Hello parents, does the student in ytps have PE attire?
Thanks!
However, I do see some pupils wearing black shorts with their red shirts instead of the beige bottoms during PE. The black shorts are sold at the uniform vendor in school. -

The news indicated that the new principal of ytps is Ms Ang Mui Khoong. Now,She is holding the position of senior quality assessor with MOE. i saw on one of the website that she was previously the principal of Coral Primary School.
