Different cards for different purpose. I’ve a credit card holders for all the cards.
Esso for petrol
Krisflyer amex card to earn krisflyer miles
POSB everyday - SP services, watsons and popular for cash rebate
Manhattan for cash rebate up to $200 per quarter
CIMB card for general cash rebate
BOC union card when travelling in China
Others will be as and when there is a promotion eg. at restaurants, etc… -

BTW, just learnt of good stuff on POSB Everyday card.
Pay bills from IRAS, LTA (include road tax) via AXS machines with the card; get credit period plus 0.3% rebate.
Plus renew hdb season parking via website, can use credit card (no limitation on which co’s card).
For me, I use
POSB Everyday for SPC petrol, town council and pub giro.
Maybank friends and family in NTUC, Popular & Toys R Us (etc) for 5% rebate.
whatever card that gives good discounts on dining.
xtrasaver on all others for that tiny rebate. -
Oh yes, Diners club for instalment free road tax (6 months).

Another factor is whether the bank will waive the annual subscription fee, and how helpful they are in unfortunate event of wrong charging or bill dispute with shops.
