I did consider that option few years ago but definitely not now. Too much competition. Agree with Augmum. The rental kills. The manpower kills. When the teacher quits, its horrible.

I rather teach tuition at home šŸ™‚

Ya.....in recent yrs, the competition is very intense.....
        and the rental... :slapshead:
the worst is when comes to rental renewal....possibly to increase 50-100% :faint: and one may needs to relocate again.....
same goes for other retail businesses....

yeah i think setting up enrichment business are pretty saturated in the market now.

to consider it, teachers play an important role into building ur business into a reputable one. And its not as easy to find passionate teachers . But for those that are considering, can try to tackle the north market as i don't find much reputable , good enrichment centre here. šŸ™‚

Hi, seems there are some eager entrepreneurs around šŸ˜„

I have recently got a licence to do a program in Singapore. It's wonderful program. But I need trainers who will eventually be invited to become partners of the company if things work out well. This program is like a family program where kids and parents learn so that they have a 'common vocabulary' to use in order to solve conflicts, have better bonding etc. This program is also highly suitable for counsellors to help children and adults. The target market group is quite huge so manpower is an issue. I have been talking to several interested parties the last few weeks. If you are keen to know more of this program, please email me at [email protected].

              Cheers.

Is it difficult to be a student care principle? Because I recently know of someone who has no prior teaching experience/background but is now a student care center.

Was thinking if she has acquire some shares in the center or she applied for the job?

                        Dear Former School Teachers,

                        We have a few renovated good sized Classrooms to share with prospective ex-school NIE trained Teachers who had the intent to start their own Sole Proprietor/Partnership Tuition Centre via co-sharing of our current tuition center at Tiong Bahru area as Co-Tenants. However, please note that only the following subjects levels can be taught at our Tuition center without any conflict of interest to our existing curriculum;

                        Primary level: Chinese
Secondary level: Combined Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Principles of accounting; IP/IB Programs, Chinese
JC level: Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, GP, Economics, Accounting, Higher Mathematics, Chinese

The prospective Tenants will have full autonomy and control in running their own curriculum, market their own tuition services and brand, set/collect their tuition fees and deal with the parents direct without any interference from the us. In fact they should not expect any help from us. We have ready Primary & Secondary Level students that they can market to, many of them top cohort students in their respective primary and secondary schools over here albeit their very demanding parents and they must have the passion to manage the parents' feedbacks and attend to their students personally. We do not have expertise for the above subject levels, nor do we believe in getting tutors to run the programs If we are not able to teach the subjects, let alone control the quality. Hence the purpose of this advert.

Kindly note that the tuition Centers are extensively & tastefully renovated and comes ready with all learning amenities and is approved for use as a Tuition Center. Our center is located in the HDB ShopHouse just 5mins walk from the Tiong Bahru MRT/Plaza.

Kindly note we have the prerogative to determine whether the prospective co-tenants fit our criteria as we are strategizing to bring in Ex-School Trained Teachers as co-tenants for the above subjects levels to our center to complement our existing curriculum; so we are not under any obligation to accept any offer. We prefer sole proprietor or partnership who are able to teach the curriculum, run their business personally and deal with the parents direct. Co-Tenants will co-share 50% of the rent of the premise and will have access to all classroom facilities and common resources.

If you are keen, please contact us personally through [email protected] by leaving us your mobile number and email to express your interest. Kindly provide a description of yourself and whether you are a former teacher and subject specialist together with your teaching history. Running your own centre is a big commitment and you shouldn't jump hastily into the education business If you do not have the passion nor the mental capacity to persevere to strive doing your best for your own students in the education industry~because parents and students are not stupid if you are a status quo mediocre tutors.

                        Thank you
