IP vs O level

Hmmm...not that my boy is exceptionally bright (he prolly couldn't get into his school via S1) but he doesn't seem stressed to me leh!O level might be better...
There is less stress and the people seem happier...
There are also fewer projects and longer holidays
In addition, they also have opportunities to explore many things
IP is very stressful. There are projects almost every night and we only sleep past midnight everyday. I don't know about the other IP schools but i now Cedar VCA IP is like this. There are projects every week and we learn things that are only taught in JC.
In Cedar IP, subjects such as Home Economics and D&T are also not taught. Instead, we are taught things such as Design Thinking and Financial Literacy which are quite irrelevant.
But I do agree with you that you shouldn't force yourself to take up subjects which u do not like. IP may not fit everyone. -

Hi I am from VCA too, so I was shortlisted to go for the IP and there's interviews this Thurs. Would you mind sharing with me about the curriculum? Is there more emphasis on projects or is there more emphasis on pen and paper? And please share with me the advantages and disadvantages of IP.O level might be better...

I would really appreciate your answer, I've been stressing out over this IP for 1 week now.... :?: -
With the 7 new schools introducing IP is there any chance of IP COP score getting lower?
-
Both same to me!!!

I think the IP system in different IP school will be different too. In RGS, there is Home economics and D&T, under the aesthetics modules, which rotates about 7-10 sessions. There are still quite a handful of projects, but it's not weekly and it's planned carefully from the start of the year. We do a lot of self-learning, like there are no more stacks of notes to study. There are also no practice papers or revision.O level might be better...

IP may not suit those who are not independent learners, i think. -

Xheyx, are you considering IP program ending 6 yrs with IB Diploma instead of A levels? If yes, there is MGS for girls joining ACSI for boys and SJI for boys.
-
Or NUS High with IP program ending 6 yrs with NUS High Diploma.
