Do your kids play online game?

My P3 daughter is allowed a maximum of 30 minutes a day. She finds out about a lot of games from her friends playing at the "Cyber Wellness Corner" at school!
Current favourites are Moshi Monsters, Secret Builders, GoGirlsGames and Bad Icecream.
I’ve noticed that her & her two brothers (4 & 5) now prefer to play computer rather than watch TV in the evening. I’m OK with that as they have started playing games together which is better than all sitting in front of the TV like zombies! -
My kids play \"clash of the clans\" online games. They're only allowed to play from Thursday to Sunday. However, my big kid (DH) plays everyday! :stompfeet:
He seems to be the one that is addicted! -

guys can you suggest some games for kids which are educational from ages 2-5 yrs old..but not boring as if they're playing a typical hardcore game..lol..
Try going to the Disney Junior website; it has a lot of simple games based on TV shows that they will know. Nick Junior and Fisher Price are also good. If you have any dinosaur fans then Dinosaur Train is another good one.
Starfall is good for phonics & reading based games but they will cotton on to the fact that it is more educational thaa fun!
You can also try Zoodles which is a protected application which gives them restricted access to childrens' games based on their age. It includes Disney, Nick Junior, Starfall etc etc.

I don’t say that don’t allow kids to play online games. But be sure that they are playing games itself or not. Don’t allow them to sit in private rooms for playing. because sometimes it may lead them to wrong way.
Give them some leisure time to spent. -
I allow my kids to play online games because kids love to play games even when I was a kid I mostly spend my time in playing games and when my parent scold on me and forbade me from playing games I get so much angry.
There are many strategic online games like scrabble, word rack, brain storming and puzzle games which not only improve learning but also augment mental capabilities of a kid. Rather than wasting their time in other activities we should allow our kids to play online games which give them a platform to learn new things and memorize new words. I daily spend 1 hour in playing online games with my kids and where they get wedged I guide them to resolve that obstacle. My younger daughter who is 08 years old she like cooking and dressing games and I allow her to play.
So it’s a responsibility of the parents to nurture their kids by counseling and supporting their interest and value their ideas but don’t let them cross their limits. -

I am just wondering nowadays how long they spend to play games online? or do they play computer games? They have their own facebook? I asked some of kids in my work place, some of them do have, but not really engage to it~ Most of them spend their leisure time reading instead of playing computer games~ is it truth? hahaha~
From my personal opinion, it is not very good for our kids if they already addicted to online games or social media platform nowadays. Because they will lost their childhood times on all that thing instead of watching cartoons, believing on fairy tales, playing on the park and so on which i believe could increase their imagination. But still, you can of course introduce them to online gaming and social media because who knows that in the future they can be an IT expert :boogie: :xedfingers: -
With internet becoming so readily available it is almost impossible to restrict children from playing online games. Even if you don’t introduce them to the gams or let him play only one or two of them they would get all the latest updates from their friends. So, the best way os to restrict their timings. Like one hour play everyday- whichever game they like.

I only allow DS to play computer 2 hours per MONTH. So far, he is ok with it. Computer is placed in the living room so I can monitor his usage. I forbid DH to buy any computer game :nunchuk:

My hubby games everyday. He says need to get inspiration to produce games… Perhaps it’s true since he is a game producer…
Only 1 rule he needs to follow, can only game after DS goes to bed… -
When he was younger, he used to game into the wee hours of the morning on Fridays and sleep in during the weekends. That was when DS was very young. Things started improving after he picked up cycling and running… Less time to game…
