Just wanted to check for those DC who has gone for interviews of any talent domain, do the schools ask about school preference ranking?

Mine didn't even get asked about which other schools he applied for, let alone any ranking.

Yes for my DS but it seems all the children were prepped how to answer this beforehand so they all gave the same cookie-cutter answer.

Just to share what my boy experienced:

He was interviewed by HCI Math, the interviewer asked about his preference according to his passion if HCI math, Infocomm and RI math all offered.
My boy said he will choose HCI Infocomm and RI math, then finally HCI math. He noticed a chuckle from the three interviewers. Maybe they never expected an answer like this. Hope this will not affect the DSA Math committee's
decision. but who knows... :imdrowning:

Hi there. Personally I don’t think there is anything wrong with the reply. If there are 2 domains applied, HCI can ONLY make ONE offer for either. So if both math and infocomm wants him, they likely have to talk to each other and any white lie would be undone then

Thanks jaspire. Just wondering other than the round of interview on 5th July, did anyone receive any further notification after that? As I have called the school like two weeks ago, that was after they informed those shortlisted candidates for interview. I asked the school if i didn't receive the invitation does it mean my son is unsuccessful for the shortlisting? The answer is not necessary, because they only informed the first batch of candidates and the shortlisting process was still ongoing which was by batches...so wanted to check if anyone there still receiving invitation after the first batch? thank you.

Hi Sunnoy, you are right. I asked my fren, she said her boy 5th July was first day of interview... so apparently they split up the interviews... hope you get a response soon! All the best!

Yes, my son said so too, but after going for the camp, he say he think his chance is so slim, the kids in his group are so much more knowledgeable than him and have a lots of certs.. 😂

But overall he enjoyed the experience, he mentioned it’s very eye opening..

DS also went for Innovation interview . DSA interview experience matters more than DSA outcome. If child is thrilled to attend his /her 1st ever interview and telling you it was eye opener, you made it BIG already :rahrah:
