Having checked with parent chatgroups, only one enrichment centre name came up for Singapore Primary Science Olympiad (SPSO) training :
Kindly share any enrichment center to recommend for RSO & SPSO training? Tks. š

Hi,
I need some advice. Do you fill up DSA entries with those relevant awards & achievements to the domains that you are applying for although it has already been recorded in the report book or do you spare some entries for those un-recorded and non-relevant awards & achievements but rather prestigious and may be able to showcase how all-rounder you are? Thank you. -

Are the schools looking at all rounders, or stands out in the few listed DSA domains?

If the school list DSA domain as A, B, C, will it better if you list your entries as A,D,E, or list your entries as A,A (unrecorded), E?
I suppose call out the school to find out, if they are willing to share more. Good luck -

If the details have already been recorded in the report book, you are just wasting precious time and space filling them up again. You don't score double for giving the assessors the same information twice.

DSA is really the way to get into the school of your choice. PSLE will get you the school you DESERVE. That is why Iām surprised why only half the P6 students would try DSA. Every student should be given a chance at DSA. Then the stress level at PSLE will go down.

So can we pleeeeeeease finally have some physical Open Houses this year now that the restrictions have been relaxed?? :frustrated:

Yeah nothing beats the physical interaction during OHsā¦used to bring my girls "shopping" for OHs since P4-P6 heeheeā¦

The problem is... a lot of students (and parents) think that DSA is only used for getting into 'top' schools. I would not be surprised that a majority of the 'average' student would not be bothered to participate in the DSA exercise for an 'average' school.

Also, the optimist will think of the 'what if', especially the 'what if I suddenly score AL6'. After all, once you accepted a DSA offer, you cannot back out of the 'contract'.
Likewise, the pessimist will think of the other 'what if', such as 'what if I no longer like XXX and prefer AAA in secondary school'. After all, once you accepted a DSA offer, especially in sports or arts, you have to stick with it for another 4 years.
