Oh no! Where is this information at? I couldn’t find it at RI’s website.

You are right. There will always be exceptions - but that's what they are, exceptions, not the norm.
But at the same time I have also seen GEP student with Gold/Platinum in MO not receiving LO from NUSH but from Raffles. And mainstream all AL1 student with no Olympiad medals to boast of receiving LO from NUSH. So maybe the school is also diversifying it’s profile of students or maybe have certain requirement on GEP/MS ratio. Or they want passion for both Math and Science and not just Math or Science. Only they know. How they judge the passion in students is the key question though. -
I am starting to fill out the DSA portal form. And I have these following questions:
1. My son is keen on joining nush, so in the DSA application portal form do I focus on only Math and Science based achievements or should I group things and include other stuff like chess, prefect, soccer, taekwondo, books he reads, etc?
2. My kid's school has included his participation/awards related to NMOS, Science Buskers, Sony creative award, CoderZ competition etc., in his report book. Do I key in these info again in the application also or should I leave these out and focus on SASMO, Vanda kind of competitions conducted by SIMCC(he has a handful of medals in this category). The school says they do not upload any information, but the secondary school has access to these records. So, I am wondering if I dont present these in the application form, will nush go to the trouble to looking for it themselves?
3. More of a basic question related to my 1st question again, since he has more than 10 achievements that can be keyed into the portal, do I still stick to top ten achievements or group similar achievements together and present as 10 items?
Any advice in this direction is much appreciated! TIA
(I did post this same query in the nush thread, but so far no response, so asking in this thread as it seems very active ha ha. Sorry about that!) -

Thank you… They’re probably intentionally aligning with the same dates to force parents/students to make up their mind first, reducing the chances of confirmation offers being dropped.

At this rate we may end up with just NUSH in the DSA option. All or nothing. -

What I do: put all or as much as we can into the 10 records within the space limits. You can use this template: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VuXcKe0SPeuA4n9DHoEfySTSGHlJLQ5zDBMs4g3lGuk/copy

My son’s draft so far:

All the best! Hopefully both our sons can become schoolmates at NUSH! -

Yes, I have no knowledge of some secret meeting between the Five Families or G17 in a hidden location after hours or strangers accidently bumping into each other in MRT cars and passing coded messages, etc.

Random coincidence? Who knows. But self-selection is an incredibly powerful tool...
In your case, I'd apply both (RI and NUSH) to start. Can always choose if given the luxury. -

As someone said, forcing parents / kids to decide early probably reduces the rate of CO not being taken up. It opens up more opportunities to other students who may be more keen on the school. -

Yes, it is likely a more efficient allocation of time and resources.

I've always thought it would be interesting if they (MOE) said you can apply three slots and rank them, but you must go if you get any CO or WL conversion. That would thin out the ranks of \"back up\" applications and let schools know anyone who applied is genuinely interested. Of course, there are cons to this method too so not saying it should be done.
Will see what other \"conflicts\" come up on the schedule... -

You are right, we should apply both. Anyway may not get shortlist for RI’s test.
NUSH test will be for all applicants. In contrast, RI's test will only be for shortlisted applicants. I'd apply both unless you have a preference and know you will get it (i.e. RI). If you get both, you will likely have to choose where you want to bet...
NUSH selection camp also the same day as HCI interviews...
