Hi, does anyone know whether the schools call up all applicants for sports domain or they would have filter through already before inviting? Still waiting here. Thanks.
I don't know what the actual mode of contact is but it's likely e-mail (though I won't rule out phone calls).

While some have said that there's no screening at this stage since they just invite applicants to submit their work, attend tests and audition etc., I suspect that there is some amount of screening based on the student's academic results and submissions, i.e. the list of achievements. The schools must start sieving through the submissions. I guess we'll know soon enough as to whether students receive rejections.

So far, I've only heard of parents receiving invitations for additional submissions, tests, auditions etc. but I don't know if anyone has yet to receive a \"sorry, but we will not be considering your application further\" message. Likely, those will only surface at a later stage (if they surface at all).

No news from VS for my kid but he's trying under Art. It's a waiting game now.

              Hi there,

Got an email from Dunman High today that the DSA application (under Academic domain: STEM) for my DS is received. No news on being short-listed yet πŸ˜… I guess the schools are starting proper only now, to sieve through the applications..

There's also a schedule posted on the DHS website - only the short-listed students (who will be notified via email) will need to attend the trials, tests and interviews. These appear to be taking place between next week and most of July (or early August).

From past experiences with my DS(1), none of the schools actually posted out rejection emails during the DSA phase, except for HCI (after portfolios sent) and NUSH (after the last round: interview) .

So..if there's no news by late July = the kids can concentrate on prepping for PSLE instead πŸ˜…

              Take care, everyone πŸ™‚

How odd. I thought that the schools would (and should) notify unsuccessful applicants. It only seems courteous to do so. Then again, courtesy is becoming a rare commodity these days.

DS’ friends applied for ACSI Rugby + Track & Field. For these sports, all applicants are invited via email for the trials. If u applied but havent received the email, maybe call them to check.

My first experience was in 2020 for DS(1). Hopefully, most of the schools would reply somehow - that will be helpful - for both the kids and us for sure πŸ˜‰

Sorry I do not know. One friend did not receive email for ACSI Robotics trial, so I think there is some screening done for that.

As for academic domains, possibly they will look at the report book grades and/or declared competitions/achievements to screen, since there is no test?
