The tender for the site at Marina Gardens Crescent has not been awarded, as the sole bid submitted by GuocoLand (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., Intrepid Investments Pte. Ltd. and TID Residential Pte. Ltd. is assessed to be too low.

Retired seniors living in private property are faced with higher property taxes. Property planning and disposable cash flow is important in retirement years.

Seriously speaking, if they can continue to stay in private properties, it means they can afford the taxes. If they can't, they can always move on to HDB housing in their retirement years. At least, we have that option in Singapore.

Yes, they have the option to move into smaller private or HDB. And should be thankful for their home’s capital gains. But some just can’t give up 😂
