Yes the school will inform you latest by 11 sept even if your application is unsuccessful.
There are actually a lot of waiting for further shortlist or mayb no further shortlist etc. So all applicants will get official notification on the schools they applied by 11 Sep on the outcome? Since we do not know whether there are further rounds of shortlisting? -

Honestly, the school already filtered and ensured that the kids were not too far away from the cut-off point. According to my son, so far, all the schoolmates he knows who entered via the Sports DSA are still within AL10. In fact, most are within the AL6 cut-off point. My son entered RI via Sports DSA from the previous year too.keas\" post_id=\"2115031\" time=\"1690768716\" user_id=\"29240:[quote=keas post_id=2115031 time=1690768716 user_id=29240]Yes, not to mention it might dampen the child’s spirit.
But I don’t think it is RI in the question.
Anyway, for sports DSA, I heard RI will still push them for academics. End up the kid couldn’t pursue the sports at high level either cos RI asked him to buck up his study first. -
A long wait till 11 Sep is unbearable for the parents and kid. Wonder if any school domain has announced its CO & WL?

Hi it is quite well known that RI will take in top medalists even with weak P5/6 grades for DSA. They are very hungry for the achievements. If the child cannot cope, worse case is to ask to transfer school. Personally know of kids who entered via Sports DSA that obtained 15-18 for actual PSLE. Also known kids with P5 SA2 worse than 17 shortlisted for interviews. It’s really nothing new. Like u, I also wonder why those parents still choose RI and not care about whether the overall fit is there.

DSA outcome will be released via email or snail mail?

Yes I believe it is not common but it does happen, especially in areas they are in need I guess.

Recently at a DSA interview, some current students shared their previous DSA experience with us and I got to know one who scored about AL18 at the time of his DSA, and yet still received CO from RI. He did achieve much better for PSLE though. (He did not choose RI and went for O level prog of another school.)
