My girl applied through Math to RGS, there was a math assessment and some group work with presentation. And that's it, 1 round only.

She applied to NUSH as well, and need to go for academic test and followed by science camp only. Selected students after science camp may go for interview. Thereafter wait for results.

She got confirmed offers for both. NUSH results out early Aug, RGS results out yesterday.
      :congrats:

Wondering which school is she inclining towards RGS or NUSH?

        Hi peanut2929,

        can share,
for Science DSA (RGS), were there 2 tests involved :-

        a) Theory test first, plus

        b) hands-on Performance test included, before your interview conducted ?

Your daughter in the end, was offered English or Science DSA ?

:congrats: , for your daughter's CO
        Hi,
According to my DD, there was no interview conducted for her for Science test. Just theory + hands on.

And yes, she was offered English DSA but not Sci.

        Hope it helps.

If you have received two COs from Victoria and ACSI, consider whether IB or A-level curriculum, suits your son better
For boys that DSA into ACS(I) track and field, do the boys need to do uniform group as well? Since Uniform group is a compulsory CCA in ACS(I).

DSA Sports students are exempted from the 2-CCA policy, thus not required to do UG. This is stated on their website thr the link to the 2-CCA policy.

Be honest, I am not sure how to share her profile here as she doesn't really have one.

                Some background:
1.GEP student, no tuition or any sort of academically related enrichment programme
2.Avid reader since very very little, love to read all kinds of books, recently into psychology books and currently reading Randall Munroe's \"What If?: Serious Scientific Answers to Absurd Hypothetical Questions\"
3.We never planned to use DSA route to enter secondary but happened that she told me all her classmates were applying via DSA so she also wanted to \"join the fun\" and we thought it would be an interesting experience to walk through the journey. Based on her academic performance, we opted Sci and English as these are her two favourite subjects.
                4. Participated several Sci olympiad and received medals but no track record for English domain
                5. She started to write her own novel since P5. Writing becomes part of her life other than reading, she writes/reads whenever she can. I don't know the storyline but I do know she does carry out some scientific research if needed.
                6. P5 AL6 and Engish is A1 throughout
7.Selected for the school debate team
8.She mentioned that RGS teacher called her current school teacher to check on her performance?

That's all i could gather. Hope it helps. :siam:

Hi all, for RGS CO, seems that mostly are GEPs. Any mainstream received CO from RGS?

Not sure if this is appropriate to ask. Does anyone know on average, how many CO and WL were offered for each domain based on past years? πŸ™

Most likely NUSH... RGS is quite out of the way for us...
DD has strong interest for math and science..

My girl is from normal neighbourhood school.

We apply through math to nush, rgs and nygh..

Nygh did not select for math assessment..

But she got confirmed offer for nush and rgs through Math.

For academic route dsa, my sense is that GEP should have advantages of being selected to take the test...

Nush is more independent as all will take the screening test... I know of cases even GEPs with gold medals.. cannot pass their selection..

In a way, all schools have their internal criteria...
