He's in sec 1 this year.

i understand that students are committed to the CCA from Year 1 to 4 and free to choose other CCA in Year 5 and 6. Is SOTA the same or their commitment is Year 1 to 6?

Has anyone been through DSA for SAP schools? Is the essay writing and interview conducted in Mandarin?

SOTA doesn't have CCA.

Their art is a \"subject\" which you must pass every year. In Y5 and Y6, it is said that some students can drop the \"art subject\"....but please confirm with school.

SOTA year 5/6 can \"dropped\" art form but i understand from the students at open house, they need to pick up E-Lit for them to do double science. and usually about 20 in that class, to drop art form your results must be EXCELLENT. so its abt top 10-15% of the cohort who can drop art form.


its a very diff environment for SOTA compared to normal sec schools. Their art form is not just practical. they have to write essays and learn theory/history etc about that particular subject. the kid must have absolute passion of the art form if not it will be suffering.

DSA via Chinese or bilingual or other domains? If it’s other domains, selection test and interviews were conducted entirely in English. No Chinese was used at all through out the process. But if applying for Chinese or bilingual maybe different story, I’m not sure. My DS applied Science to a SAP school.
